Cable twist in front of the chest while sitting

If someone wants to perform the seated torso rotation on the cable machine, there are various options - either on a weight bench or directly on the floor.

Body position

To execute the seated torso rotation on the cable machine, one sits on the assembled weight bench or simply on the floor. The cable machine is located beside the person, and the rope end is gripped at chest height. In the starting position, the upper body and gaze face the cable machine. The back remains upright, and the feet are firmly planted on the ground. In the floor variant, the legs are spread wide apart.

Movement execution

The execution of the seated torso rotation on the bench begins with a rotation of the upper body. The arms remain almost fully extended in front of the body. It is crucial to ensure that the lower body remains stable, and the movement solely involves the upper body. Exhalation occurs during the pulling phase of this movement. Subsequently, one returns to the starting position, taking a deep breath.

You start with the Seated Trunk Rotation on the floor by turning your upper body. With almost fully extended arms, you move the cable pull rope to the other side of your body. The movement is limited exclusively to the upper body. While pulling the cable to the other side of your body, you exhale. Subsequently, you return to the starting position. During this, you inhale, maintaining tension on the cable.
