Russian twist with partner

Another option for training Russian Twists is to perform this exercise with a partner. In the following section, you will find all the necessary information regarding body positioning and the correct execution.

Body position

If you choose to train Russian Twists with a partner, sit facing each other on the floor. Your faces are turned toward one another, and your feet are slightly apart on the ground. Your back is slightly leaned back, forming an approximately 45-degree angle while remaining straight. Your legs are bent at a right angle. One of you holds a ball in hand.

Movement execution

The exercise begins with one of you tossing the ball to the partner. After catching the ball, you both twist your upper bodies to one side. Meanwhile, keep the ball in front of your body, and the movement is focused on the upper body while the lower back remains stable in the center. Then return to the starting position and toss the ball to your partner. Your partner repeats the same movement. In the next round, shift your focus to the other side of your body.
