Close bench press with the SZ bar
Naturally, you can also use the EZ-curl bar for narrow bench pressing. In the following section, you will find valuable tips on proper body positioning and exercise execution.
Body position
To perform the narrow bench press with the EZ-curl bar, position yourself on the bench, place your back on it, and align your feet vertically to the side. Next, grasp the EZ-curl bar with both hands in a narrow grip, slightly narrower than your shoulders. Keep your gaze upward as you actively engage your muscles.
Movement execution
As you exhale, raise the EZ-curl bar directly upward. The motion concludes when the arms are nearly fully extended. Subsequently, lower the EZ-curl bar. The downward movement finishes without the bar touching the chest. This process takes place just below the chest, while keeping the elbows close to the body. The entire body remains still on the bench.
