Adduction on the device reversed

It is noticeable that especially men often opt for a reversed method when training the adductors on the machine. Nevertheless, it is advisable to pay particular attention to the precise execution in this context.


Body position

For this unconventional variation of adduction on the machine, you place your legs on the pads. The gaze is directed towards the backrest, which usually serves as a seat. Grip the cushion beneath your neck with your hands. Your upper body leans forward, with your gaze turned toward the neck cushion. Ensure that your back has a slight curve. Move your hips backward and tighten the muscles.

Movement execution

To initiate the movement, press your legs inward. The pressure comes exclusively from the knee area, while your feet remain still. During this movement, inhale and extend your body upright. Your arms are now almost fully extended, and thighs and upper body form a natural line. Upon inhaling, return to the starting position.
